 Anonymous writes "My name is Anne Brinkers. I am a caregiver to my husband and daughter. My husband had a severe stroke in 2004. He cannot walk or talk. He has a G-tube and a trach. I also have a downs syndrome daughter. I have never met anyone from Our New Journey but contacted them when I saw an article in the Bergen Record on caregivers. That was about two years ago. I feel like I know and am connected with them now. They have been such and inspiration to me. When I couldn''''''''t get any help with my husband, they found such loving and caring people to help me out. They made nurmerous phone calls and e-mails to places that I couldn''''''''t get in touch with. They are always there to help me out in whatever I ask of them. They are there with expert advise. When they knew I was so exausted and not sleeping at night because I had to take care of my husband, they coordinated a fund raiser dinner to help hire a qualified caregiver. This meant that I could look forward to a good nights sleep, once a week. I am so grateful for having Our New Journey in my life. They always tells me that I am an angel taking careing of my family but in reality they are the angels by far. God Bless you for all you do.
